Jasmine Jackson works alongside husband Fenwick and has recently established the Agritourism business; Jacksons at Jedburgh.
435 acres
Kersheugh farm is a mixed livestock farm with suckler cows and breeding sheep.
In the summer of 2019 Jasmine Jackson established the Agritourism business; Jacksons at Jedburgh – a multifunctional farm venue for parties, family events and farm tours.
Kersheugh Farm has been in the family since 1971 beginning with Fenwick G.
J.Fenwick has been farming Kersheugh for most of his life except for a short period when he travelled abroad. He had his first pigs age seven!
Jasmine Jackson has been involved in Agritourism for two years but only established the family’s own Agritourism business in the summer 0f 2019.
With a young family and the main farming enterprise to keep on top of, J Fenwick and Jasmine find time the biggest challenge for developing their Agritourism business.
Jasmine has been regularly attending the Agritourism meetings and the biggest take home message she has gained is not to be hesitant about having people visit the farm. Initially this was a big NO for the family with health and safety regulations and activism on the rise.
However the monitor farm has totally changed their perspective and since having the first families visit the farm in Autumn 2019 they are even more sure of how much fun it’s going to be and how much less daunting it is than they initially thought.
