EAST CENTRAL MEETING THREE REPORT – PUTTING AGRI INTO AN AGRITOURISM BUSINESS

The third meeting held at Castleton Farm by kind permission of East Central Monitor Farmers, Stuart and Jo McNicol, focused on how to put the 'Agri' element into an Agritourism business, particularly if you had an arable farm. The meeting had a large turnout with over 30 attendees from across Scotland. Guest speak Sascha Grierson spoke about her experiences with diversifying their organic farm near Perthshire. Attendees also got a tour of Castleton farm, with Stuart & Jo highlighting some of the ideas they have had to try and incorporate the farm and their two other businesses at DRIFT. cafe and Castleton Events....

We caught up with Stuart & Jo McNicol at the East Central Monitor Farm meeting on 8th August to find out what they were hoping to gain from the meeting, which focused on putting the 'Agri' into an Agritourism Business.
